A story from the Dallas Morning News is just outrageous. The Dallas Independent School District was giving immigrants fake and sometimes someone's social security number. Here's an excerpt from the story...

Some of the numbers were real Social Security numbers already assigned to people elsewhere. And in some cases, the state's educator certification office unknowingly used the bogus numbers to run criminal background checks on the new hires, most of whom were brought in to teach bilingual classes.

The practice was described in an internal report issued in September by the district's investigative office, which looked into the matter after receiving a tip. The report said the Texas Education Agency learned of the fake numbers in 2004 and told DISD then that the practice "was illegal."

Did you get that? They had to be TOLD that the practice was illegal! These are employees of a SCHOOL district. At the very least someone in that organization is complicit in identity theft. The Dallas ISD, your Texas Idjits of the Day.

It's not wabbit season, it's RINO season!

Over at Human events Uncle Ted Nugent has just declared open season on RINOs(Republican In Name Only). I"m totally on board with this, I'm so tired of my representatives saying we have to reach across the aisle to get things done in our congress, I can't recall a time when liberals ever reached over to our side of the aisle. My favorite part...

RINOs are Fedzilla punks who feign support for conservative principles only when it serves their political interest. RINOs are also known for their moderate positions such as supporting tax increases, federal “bailouts”, “comprehensive immigration reform”, advocating more counterproductive gun control that guarantee more innocent victims, opposing the death penalty, and growing and sustaining Fedzilla and all its toxic mongrels by going along with the liberals. RINOs have forgotten President Ronald Maximus Regan's admonition that government is the problem, not the solution.

They could have done the bailout better.

I am incensed that the Government decided to bailout Wall Street and the Banking industry, and now it looks like we'll be paying for the big 3 automakers too. I voiced my opinion to my representatives, fat lot of good that did. They came back and said they had to do something. Well something is what they did and it looks like a typical Washington screw up only on a scale not seen before. Why oh why couldn't they have given the 700 billion out to the taxpayers, then the taxpayers with their OWN money would have flooded the economy with cash, that worked pretty well the last time they sent out stimulus checks. I think it was lobbyists that poked and prodded the government and shoved this bailout down our throats. Well for MY representatives in Congress, good luck getting my vote or donations now!

Seriously it's time to update this! I'm not a great writer, phhht, I'm not even a good writer. I just like to post my thoughts and opinions. I'm not an expert on anything but like Glenn Beck I'm a thinker. I have just been ignoring putting down anything.

Turning back the clock.

Most of my adult life I've been listening to mostly Rock music, some Jazz, a little blues, and sometimes a little new country, but recently I've rediscovered The great Statler Brothers. Listening to their music brings me back to the days of sitting in my grandmothers kitchen watching her cook, playing in the creek behind our house, and just remembering the days when things were simpler.
Sure as children we have less to worry about but I also think that back then even the adults had less to worry about than we do now. Back then my parents didn't have to worry about where I was after school. Heck as long as I was home before dark and supper was on the table I never heard my mother say, "Stay where I can keep an eye on you." Of course we were better kids back then too, I mean if we weren't...hooo boy, we got it.
Sometimes I think life would be so much nicer if I could just do away with the computers, the TV, the cell phone and answering machine, you know, all the major comforts of today's society. Course then, the worlds problems would still be there, I just wouldn't hear about them.
I sure miss those days, Thank you Statler Brothers for helping me get back there, if only for a few hours.

Bo Derek is a Republican?

Ok I'm surfing the TV Channels last night and I come across Bo Derek on my screen, Now I have not seen any of her movies, nor have I seen any of her pictorials in the countless magazines she's been in.
I do know about her because when I was growing up she was all anyone could talk about and I got to see her on the talk shows. So, I'm wondering, what's she talking about. She looks fantastic by the way. She's appearing on the Donny Deutsch show on CNBC.
Now normally I don't watch that liberal channel, but the first thing I heard Donny Deutsch say was, "As a republican...", ok I'm intrigued. I didn't know Bo Derek was a Republican this could be interesting. He asks her something to the effect that as a woman how can she support the republicans on Roe VS Wade? He says something like "Just on this issue alone, how can you be republican?
What???
Ok, so as a woman you can't make up your own mind about abortion or have opinions on other issues? How idiotic of Mr. Deutsch. Then he asks her about Hillary Clinton running for president, and he seems surprised that, "As a woman", she doesn't really like Hillary.
Ok so women take note. Donny Deutsch has this idea that women are supposed to think a certain way, and if you don't, your shunning your gender, as well as your "political party"(as women are supposedly "statistacally Democrat").
This is just another example of how Democrats want people in their party to think alike, they all want democrats to be clones of Supreme Court JUstice Ginsburg and if your not they want you to go to hell. Democrats want everyone to depend on them for everything so they can stay in POWER. They have totally lost it. I can't stand this, "Click".
Is it any wonder I had nightmares last night? I mean the last thing I saw was Donny Deutsch for crying out loud.

Majority says Wal-Mart bad for America: poll

CHICAGO (Reuters) - Some 56 percent of U.S. consumers think Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is bad for America, according to a Zogby International poll released on Thursday by one of the retailer's most vocal critics.

You have to be kidding me. If Wal Mart goes, so goes a ton of paying jobs. If wal mart is so bad for America why does it that..."Wal-Mart, [is] the largest U.S. private-sector employer."

It seems like the ones that blame Wal Mart for what's bad don't look at what Wal Mart does that's good. They are helping keep the economy going(duh). This is really just some friggin wacko's making mountains out of molehills. Geez people, get a grip.

Sorry I've been out of touch for the last few days and haven't been able to post new stuff, but here we go again.

1 Republican belief explained.

A young woman was about to finish her first year of college. Like so many others her age she considered herself to be a very liberal Democrat and was for distribution of all wealth. She felt deeply ashamed that her father was a rather staunch Republican which she expressed openly.

One day she was challenging her father on his beliefs and his opposition to higher taxes on the rich & more welfare programs. In the middle of her heart-felt diatribe based upon the lectures she had from her far left professors at her school, he stopped her and asked her point blank, how she was doing in school. She answered rather haughtily that she had a 4.0 GPA, and let him know that it was tough to maintain. That she had to study all the time. She never had time to go out and party like other people she knew. She didn't even have time for a boyfriend and didn't really have many college friends because of spending all her time studying. That she was taking a more difficult curriculum.

Her father listened and then asked, "How is your friend Mary?" She replied, "Mary is barely getting by", she continued, "all she has is barely a 2.0 GPA" adding, "and all she takes are easy classes and she never studies." But to explain further she continued emotionally, "But Mary is so very popular on campus, college for her is a blast, and she goes to all the parties all the time and very often doesn't even show up for classes because she is too hung over."

Her father then asked his daughter, "Why don't you go to the Dean's office and ask him to deduct a 1.0 off your 4.0 GPA and give it to your friend who only had a 2.0." He continued, "That way you will both have a 3.0 GPA and certainly that would be a fair equal distribution of GPA."

The daughter visibly shocked by the father’s suggestion angrily fired back, "That wouldn't be fair! I worked really hard for mine, I did without and Mary has done little or nothing, she played while I worked real hard!"

The father slowly smiled and said, "Welcome to the Republican Party."

CNN OPERATOR FIRED AFTER SUGGESTING 'X' OVER CHENEY WAS 'FREE SPEECH'

The Drudge report confirms that a CNN employee was fired after suggesting the X over Vice President Cheny was intentional and a form od free speech. There was a recording of the conversation floating around the internet. It sounded real enough and this report confirms it. Now while this was not a reporter or top level executive, this certainly shows what the (Liberal) media is giving rise to. Don't tell me there is no bias in media.

John Murtha Opposed Another Recent Military Engagement.

So John Murtha thought Somalia was a mistake too. Was he the reason we "cut and run" there?

It was a time when "the summer soldier and the sunshine patriot shrink ... " but those who stood firm would someday receive the love and appreciation of the nation.

A word from Col. Repya

We've written here several times about Minnesota's Lt. Col. Joe Repya, who volunteered to return to active duty for service in Iraq at age 59. Joe's previous service includes command of a rifle platoon in Vietnam and flying helicopters in the first Gulf War.

Joe is a classic citizen patriot and activist. He first came to public attention in March 2003 when, disturbed by the anti-war campaign mounted by Minnesota liberals, he arranged for the production of lawn signs saying "Liberate Iraq -- Support Our Troops." His effort garnered a lot of publicity, and Joe eventually distributed 30,000 signs.

Today he writes:

Two weeks ago, as I was starting my sixth month of duty in Iraq, I was forced to return to the USA for surgery for an injury I sustained prior to my deployment. With luck, I'll return to Iraq in January to finish my tour. I left Baghdad and a war that has every indication that we are winning, to return to a demoralized country much like the one I returned to in 1971 after my tour in Vietnam. Maybe it's because I'll turn 60 years old in just four months, but I'm tired:

I'm tired of spineless politicians, both Democrat and Republican who lack the courage, fortitude, and character to see these difficult tasks through.

I'm tired of the hypocrisy of politicians who want to rewrite history when the going gets tough.

I'm tired of the disingenuous clamor from those that claim they "Support the Troops" by wanting them to "Cut and Run" before victory is achieved.

I'm tired of a mainstream media that can only focus on car bombs and casualty reports because they are too afraid to leave the safety of their hotels to report on the courage and success our brave men and women are having on the battlefield.

I'm tired that so many American's think you can rebuild a dictatorship into a democracy over night.

I'm tired that so many ignore the bravery of the Iraqi people to go to the voting booth and freely elect a Constitution and soon a permanent Parliament.

I'm tired of the so called "Elite Left" that prolongs this war by giving aid and comfort to our enemy, just as they did during the Vietnam War.

I'm tired of anti-war protesters showing up at the funerals of our fallen soldiers. A family who's loved ones gave their life in a just and noble cause, only to be cruelly tormented on the funeral day by cowardly protesters is beyond shameful.

I'm tired that my generation, the Baby Boom - Vietnam generation, who have such a weak backbone that they can't stomach seeing the difficult tasks through to victory.

I'm tired that some are more concerned about the treatment of captives then they are the slaughter and beheading of our citizens and allies.

I'm tired that when we find mass graves it is seldom reported by the press, but mistreat a prisoner and it is front page news.

Mostly, I'm tired that the people of this great nation didn't learn from history that there is no substitute for Victory.

Iraqi President Asks Insurgents to Disarm

As has been predicted...
Seems the vote on withdrawal might have scared the Iraqis a little. Fearing that the US might leave them to the wolves, are the Iraqis preparing to offer concessions to the opposition and insurgent groups?

Whoa, looks like it's getting a little hot for our brave firefighters, and I support them 100% but with only 30% left to contain, shouldn't we redeploy our firefighters, safely, and let nature deal with this?

Murtha Calls for a 'Change in Direction'

This is a transcript of John Murtha's Press Conference November 17, 2005. The New Yoirk Times calls Murtha's Call for "Immediate Redeployment" of our troops a change of direction. I've read the transcript and not once but several times reporters make reference to getting "them" (the soldiers) home.

Here's one...

Q Mr. Murtha, you say -- your first point about bringing them home consistent with the safety of U.S. forces. You know about these matters; what is your sense as to how long that would be?

REP. MURTHA: Well, I think they can get them out of there in six months. I think that we could do it -- you know, you have to do it in a very consistent way. But I think six months would be a reasonable time to get them out of there.

Here's another exchange in which John Murtha actually says, "It's time to bring them home."

Q Congressman, Republicans say that Democrats are calling for withdrawal, are advocating a cut-and-run strategy. What do you say to that criticism?

REP. MURTHA: It's time to bring them home. They've done everything they can do. The military's done everything they can do. This war has been so mishandled from the very start. Not only was the intelligence bad, the way they disbanded the troops, there's all kinds of mistakes that have been made. They don't deserve to continue to suffer. They're the targets. They have become the enemy! Eighty percent of the Iraqis want us out of there. The public wants us out of there.

So much for just turning left at Baghdad. He wants us to make a U-Turn.
